A Bathroom Vanity that looks like a Dresser
I thought for today's post I would direct the attention off the property and all the fun happening over there and show you something for the inside of the house. This weekend we took a trip to our local Home Depot in search of a bathroom vanity that we saw there a few weeks back. This vanity just seemed to catch our attention and we decided that if they still had it in stock we would snatch it up!
As it turned out, this bathroom vanity was a "special buy" which means each store only got a limited number of them and when they were gone, they were gone. The Home Depot we went to in Okemos was all sold out, we waited too long to decide to buy it. However there was a floor model. We decided the display looked just fine and she should come home with us! Bonus: They gave us 10% additionally off because it was the floor model.
The vanity is called Monroe 36" vanity (Model # MR36P3-H ). It came with a cast-polymer carrara marble look top and under mount sink. Cast-polymer is a term for something that is man made to look like stone or granite. She is made of solid wood with wood veneer in Hazelnut. I love the warmth of this piece and it looks like the style of a dresser. It also came with the chrome knobs on the front and the wood framed mirror as well. The top to side drawers don't pull out because of the sink basin but the bottom two offer lots of storage.
We did not purchase the faucet that is shown in the photo. Instead we want to have the faucet in a chrome finish to match the dresser hardware and the shower fixtures we have already picked out. Although I do think the oil rubbed bronze looks beautiful as well. We were thinking about this 8" spread faucet from Moen. We had originally picked out a 4" spread for the bathroom vanity but that size wont work with our new vanity top. Unfortunately it costs more for an 8" than a 4" faucet set-up however we did save on the vanity.

We took this photo in the store and I was clearly unaware I was in the photo with the vanity!

I am very happy with our latest purchase for the house and even more excited for how inexpensive it was! With building a house it feels like the price of this usually goes up so it was nice to find a vanity for less than we budgeted for!
